Andreja Pejic Shines in First Post Transition Spread
Transgender model and activist Andreja Pejic is the cover model for the March 2016 issue of Marie Claire Spain. The magazine has named Pejic “Model of the Year” as this is her first cover post transition.
Pejic came out as transgender in 2014 and was named the face of Make Up Forever Cosmetics in 2015. She appears in a mesh dress made by Donatella Versace for her spring 2016 collection. Born in Bosnia, Pejic originally made her name as an androgynous model. She has since become the first transgender model to be profiled in Vogue Magazine and she now will grace the Marie Claire cover. We are happy to see her career continue to be a success even after her transition.
Pejic made her announcement regarding the Marie Claire Model of the Year award and cover on Instagram.
Thank you @marieclaire_es for having me on your cover this month as part of the model of the year award.
